Hey mommy, are you busy? Ha! I used to think I was busy. Now I know I am busy. Raising a young child is full time work for sure. Lately I have focused on child-rearing, nutrition, fitness, my home, blogging and trying to be a good family historian. You know, taking photos and uploading them and notating all of baby boy's "firsts."
Today I have a word about the Word. My sisters out there know what I mean by "quiet time". I haven't been getting mine. Would it not be nice to say, "I will get up every morning at 5:30 am and have my devo time"? The problem is BB (baby boy) sometimes gets up at 5:15 or 5:45 or 6 ...I really do not think I can get up at 4:30 am for devo time. Not if I want to be coherent enough to hear from the Lord. So today I am trying something ... when BB takes his nap I will committ to 20 minutes of devo time first, then use the rest of the time for eating, cleaning, bathing or whatever (watching Ellen).
It's easy to miss that time in the Word. But the rewards are SO great.
Father, I have missed you. I am so excited about our reunion!
As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.
Psalm 42:1
I am passionately seeking ways to not only improve my health - body, mind and soul - but also seeking ways to help others live a life of wellness. I have 15 years of experience as a health care provider, and I have seen that what we consume and how we use our time directly affect the quality of our health. I continually draw on valid research to improve physical health, overall wellness and longevity. Let me do the research, that you may experience the blessings of good life!
